As I can understand, there are advantages and disadvantages of doing SEO by yourself as well as of doing SEO by SEO Company. The main disadvantage of doing SEO by yourself is that it’ll take much time, and of doing SEO by SEO company – it’ll cost much money. But I think that time=money, so finally it doesn’t matter what to choose.
Hiring a professional SEO company means that the online side of your business’s marketing strategy will be fully taken care of, so you can re-focus your energy on actually running a successful business. You’ll of course have to work with the SEO company to let them know what your vision for your online image is and what target market you’re going for… On the other hand You can save a lot of money by implementing SEO and internet marketing strategies on your own. But, This can be very time consuming and detract from the time you have to spend on running other aspects of your business.
I think that doing SEO by yourself is much more effective, because you can choose any SEO technique you like, but SEO companies would hardly use blue or even black hat SEO tactics.
