These are some great alternatives. My two favorites listed though are Facebook advertising and Youtube advertising. If you create a campaign using any of the two you can target your audience very specifically.
You can also get $100 free advertising on Facebook which is really helpful when you’re starting out.

For me – text ads work better than images. Try to mix the ads with the text of your posts.
